~ TESF Achievements ~
-- Since 2006, we have increased our captive bolson tortoise population by 489 %.  This takes us closer to our goal of restoring wild bolson tortoise populations to parts of their Pleistocene range in the U.S. --

~ Awards related to Turner imperiled species conservation work ~
Ted Turner to receive the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) 2012 International Award of Excellence in Conservation.
Ted Turner received the 2011 Prairie Dog Protector of the Year Award from the Prairie Dog Coalition of the Humane Society of the United States.
Ted Turner received the 2010 Landowner of the Year Award from the MT Chapter AFS for various efforts, including the Cherry Creek project.
Turner Enterprises Inc. was awarded the 2010 National Collaborative/Integrated Aquatic Stewardship Award from the United States Forest Service, Washington Office.
The Cherry Creek Montana Working Group received the 2011 Conservation Achievement Award from the Western Division AFS.
At the 2008 Desert Tortoise Council Symposium, Dr. Joe Truett (Senior TESF biologist) received one of the Council's annual awards that reflected the TESF's efforts towards conservation of the bolson tortoise.  We in the TESF are honored by this award from an organization that, through its membership, has contributed so much to this effort.
