Honors, Awards and Appointments

In April 2002 Ms. Val Asher, TESF biologist, received the "Alpha Award" which is given annually by the Wolf Recovery Foundation in Idaho for outstanding professional achievement and leadership toward the recovery of wolves in the Northern Rocky Mountains. Val Asher is also a team member of Working Dogs for Conservation Research, an affiliation of biologists who have combined specialized detection dog training with conservation work.

In April 2002 Dr. Joe Truett's article "Managing Bison to Restore Biodiversity" was the recipient of the 2001 Leslie Hewes Award for the best social science article published in the journal "Great Plains Research." More
